Cyriopagopus sp/Omothymus Hati Hati Purple 1″

$45.00

This was once the belle of the ball a few years back, a new Earth Tiger species that happened to be purple. It quickly commanded a high price. Then a dealer imported them and sold them uber cheap and well, here we are.  Oh well, guess it means I can offer it to you at a more reasonable price. There are worse things in this world. Now for the particulars. They are a purple wash over all the body, except for the carapace, which is golden. The abdominal patterning is more reduced than C. schioedtei, and the adult size is similar, over 8″. Hati Hati is Indonesian for careful careful, and that’s what you really need to know. This species doesn’t care for most things, least of all human interaction. My female threat displays if I merely walk by her enclosure. They’re easy enough to keep, needing temps in the high 70s with humidity to match. Again, they are very defensive and a bite would be awful. Recommended for advanced keepers.
